I've had this pitcher since the early 1970's when I bought it at an antique shop. I was collecting steins, so this went well with them. It is a handmade piece, you can see the clay seam joined with a patterned tool under the spout. The main part of the body is textured and the grape cluster and leaves are molded into the sides and stand out in relief. It has a saltglaze look, but can't be sure it was glazed that way. No maker's marks, no chips or damage. Perfect size for a small vase of flowers.
