This is a very comprehensive reference & pattern book on the all bisque dolls linked to the famous French children's magazine, La Poupée Modele. The book includes patterns, printed fabric sheets and cardboard sheets as well as historical research. The introduction is in English with considerable information and the chronology of the Mignonnette. The major part of the book is in French as it was published in Paris by the Musée de la Poupée. So much of this detailed information on styles, patterns, and history is copied directly from the early French publications.
The patterns do not have instructions in English or French. Most of the writing below the patterns are just comments by the author of the magazine these came from. The patterns were made for children and are just simple to put together if you sew you should be able to figure it out without much problems. There are 52 patterns printed on fabric and are a historical reference for quilters and historian alike. I will enclose a sheet of reference words to help you understand some of the French see the last photo below.
If you like to sew for you little dolls this is a great find.
